Daily briefing: the rim is the structure
Infill can be lighter. The rim carries the span. Name both diameters.
A basket that uses one diameter for rim and mesh is easy to draw and often overweight — or the rim is too light. Industrial baskets: heavier border, named infill, weld called out. 330 furnace rims are not 9-gauge.
